Hello from Portland, Maine!  The Rubes and I are here visiting my dear friends Bill and Misty Crawford and their beautiful daughter Amy.
I didn't take any pictures yesterday as we spent the entire day catching up on the basic necessities that we have been neglecting since we were in Houston...the Jeep has been crying for an oil change, I ran out of Ruby's rawhide bones about 6 days ago days ago and she gets a little preturbed when she doesn't have anything to do while I'm working on this...Petco answered the call (we probably won't be in a city this big again until we get to Detroit).
Portland is a beautiful, small city about 3 hours north of Boston.  Forbes magazine calls it "Americas most liveable city" and I can see that...really nice, simple people with zero pretentions at all...very different than what is found quite a bit in Southern California.  In fact, Portland may be the polar opposite!

By the way Ruby is no longer a tick virgin..Misty and I pulled 2 off of her this morning...disgusting little creatures!
